Doing customer service for Jonathan Budd certainly has the benefit of seeing first hand what trips people up.

The question marks that keep people from getting rolling are many – but this is a very common one.

This is a question that comes from a new system user:

I don’t see how i can get leads from my [xyz] business, i want people to join with me, and become an associate, and to become one its around 320.00. My site is this http://xyz.mycompany.com/about. you think that will attract people to sign up? I don’t get how Jonathon got all these sign ups if he did it from a site like this…I NEED HELP PLEASE!:(

Hear this sort of confusion all the time.

It’s the sort of thing you don’t really “get” until you see it in action – either for someone else or better – yourself.

building yourself up as a leader first.

You can use this system to build any business you want.

See – you learn to identify what your particular market wants and
then you give it to them.

People aren’t looking for a drill – they want a hole.

Similarly, no one’s out there looking for a ‘[insert company]‘
business – they’re looking for solutions to the problems having
a thriving home business will provide.

Become a source of solutions and people will want to join you.

There’s a lot of controversy over whether or not auto DM’s – direct messages that get delivered to your twitter followers when they follow you – are a cool thing or not.

I think we’ll evolve to a point where they can be – really all depends on your message. I haven’t got mine quite right yet, but then I’m evolving too. It’s a really good opportunity to connect with the people you’re attractive to. And that can only be a good thing, yeah?

What I’ve been doing (and I don’t care if it’s their DM or them responding in person) is going to my DM’s a couple times a day and scanning through them for interesting ones – which I reply in person to – then if I really want to get their attention (’cause I think they’re cool), I @ or RT a recent tweet of theirs.

Nothing beats honest appreciation – “appreciation beats self-promotion every time” – good stuff!
