Should You be Promoting Your Company Out Loud?

Welcome back!
I appreciate you :) Be sure and shoot me a note if there's anything I can do to help get you get your marketing up and running, k?

I am of the distinct opinion that we should never be promoting our company out loud.

There are a lot of people who would disagree with me. The companies themselves for instance. Upline leadership that is firmly invested in volume levels — that would be another example.

Anytime that someone suggests that you lead with a specific brand name — my feeling is it’s time to seriously question their motives. Ask yourself, what’s in it for them?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about product sales. Consistent retail sales being the highest and purest “market driven” form of sales…

What I’m saying is (and I’ve said it before), let the product or company be the recommendation that you make after having built a relationship, and an understanding of what the person wants.

Brand yourself and your ‘expert’ knowledge first.

Otherwise, you’re just out there hawking someone else’s product on your own dime, wouldn’t you say?

Branding yourself is not only more effective for sales because people come to know, like and trust you; it’s also a safeguard against upheaval.

Any marketing that you do of YOU is forever.

Am I making sense??

Make it a great day,

Andrea

    Andrea,
This was a very insightful post, thank you for sharing it. What most folks fail to keep in mind is that we are all self employed businesspeople not sales reps. Our business isn’t lotions, potions, or financial plans. We are in the PEOPLE business. We mentor, train, and develop other folks into successful entrepreneurs.

Keep in mind that the more valuable you become as a marketer & leader, the greater your social media following and team will be.

Your an incredible leader Andrea and I look forward to sharing and learning with you.

    To Our Success,

    John
